Just call us at (508) 375-7922 or complete our online quote request form.
What are your hourly rates?
Hourly rates vary according to the skills and experience of the contractor, but typical hourly rates are $10 - $15 an hour for administrative support positions (virtual assistant, customer service, data entry, web research), $30 an hour for design and multimedia services (graphic design, identity), and $25 – $45 for web and application development services. You can also request a fixed price quote for your project.
Which jobs and skills can be outstaffed?
Almost any computer-based job or job role can be outstaffed. For a list of typical jobs and skills, please see our Jobs & Skills section
Should I make my job a fixed-price or an hourly-rate job?
You can choose whether to make your job a fixed-price or an hourly-rate job. Fixed-price jobs are the best option if your project isn’t too complex and has well-defined deliverables. For example, a graphic design project such as a brochure or a logo. Hourly-rate jobs are the best option for more complex and/or ongoing jobs.
Is there a minimum contract period for hourly-rate jobs?
OutStaff contractors are available for as little as one-hour assignments.
Can I limit the number of hours my contractor works?
Yes. To stay in total control of your budget, you can specify the maximum number of hours that an hourly-rate contractor can work each week or each month. You can also request a fixed price quote for your project.
Can I cancel an hourly-rate job with no penalties?
Yes. You can cancel an hourly-rate job at any time and you’ll only pay for the hours worked.
How can I be sure that my OutStaff contractor is suitably qualified?
OutStaff works with only the most qualified offshore contractors and we spend an enormous amount of time screening our contractors. However, if you’d like to interview a contractor, or ask a contractor to complete a short proof-of-capabilities test, we’ll be happy to arrange that at no cost.
How long will it take to start my project?
The time it takes to hire a contractor can vary depending on the complexity of the job function and other factors such as whether or not you wish to interview candidates, but typically a contractor will be available to begin work on your project within 24 hours. Some tasks, such as web maintenance, can be undertaken immediately.
Who manages my contractors and projects?
OutStaff takes the hassle out of outsourcing by managing your contractors and projects for you, ensuring that the work is completed on time and to your exact specifications. However, you can choose to manage your projects and contractors directly if you prefer.
How is my confidentiality and IP protected?
All OutStaff contractors are required to sign our Contractor NDA and Service Agreement. This is a non-disclosure agreement that protects your confidentiality and assigns to you the ownership of all work undertaken by your contractor. You can also ask OutStaff contractors to sign your own NDA or service agreement.
How is payment made?
For hourly-rate jobs, payment is made weekly by credit card. We’ll send you an invoice at the end of each week detailing the hours worked by your contractor. If everything’s OK, you can pay your invoice by credit card after a 72-hour approval window.
For fixed-price jobs, we ask for 50% payment upfront with the balance due upon completion of the job. However, you only pay the balance when you’re completely satisfied.
Can I pay by check?
Yes. We do accept payment by check or direct transfer. Please contact us for further details.
Do I have to pay employer taxes or other employer contributions?
No. The job price or hourly rate that we quote you is the total amount that you’ll pay. You are purchasing a service from OutStaff which can be classified as an ordinary business expense.
Can I stop payment if I’m not satisfied with my contractor’s work output?
Yes. For fixed-price jobs, you only make your final payment when you are completely satisfied with the work output. If there’s a problem, you don’t pay until the problem is fixed. We offer a similar assurance for hourly-rate jobs. If there is a problem with either the quantity or quality of the work, let us know within the 72-hour invoice approval window and we’ll suspend payment until the problem is fixed.
What are the benefits of outsourcing?
Outsourcing can provide your small- or medium-sized business (SMB) with on-demand skills and bandwidth that help you to get more done at a lower cost. Outstaffing is just like outsourcing… but without the hassle!
Is outstaffing harming US jobs?
It’s a fair question and one that we take seriously. Our belief is that on-demand staff help small and medium-size businesses (SMBs) to increase productivity, expand capacity, and reduce costs, and this ultimately helps SMBs to secure and even increase the number of well-paid US jobs.
How does OutStaff make its money?
OutStaff operates in much the same way as a traditional temporary staffing agency in that our fee is included within the fixed-price or hourly rate that we quote you.
Is outstaffing more expensive than sites such as ODesk or Elance?
Our fixed-price quotes and hourly rates are very competitive with the rates you’ll find elsewhere, and if you value your time and want a guaranteed project outcome, then there’s absolutely no comparison. That’s because OutStaff supervises your contractors and projects and ensures that the work is completed to your exact specifications.
Where are OutStaff contractors based?
We recruit contractors from more than 15 countries, including India, Mexico, the Philippines, Argentina, and Romania.
Are OutStaff contractors remunerated fairly?
Definitely. Because of cost of living differences, OutStaff contractors can be fairly remunerated while at the same time providing services at very competitive rates. Long-term OutStaff contractors are provided with additional benefits such as bonuses and paid time off.
